Refugees enjoying FilmAid's 9th Annual Film Festival.

This year's 9th Annual Film Festival centered around the theme "Home Away From Home", displaying the unique stories of refugees who have taken part in FilmAid's Media Training Program. The festival provided an opportunity for refugees to uniquely express what "home" means to them. FilmAid's trained refugee filmmakers participated in the Film Festival, submitting their films on the theme as their final project.

The filmmaker we will be highlighting this week is Stallone Ngongo, a 22 year old refugee filmmaker and Director of the film "It's All About Me", which was screened at this year's Film Festival. "Its All About Me" is the story of a girl who lies about being HIV-Positive because of her lack of trust in men, based on the interactions she observed in her mother's love life. She is approached by a man named Felix: will Felix be her first love?
