Suud Olat
Suud Olat is an enthusiastic activist with the ONE Campaign, an international advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease. He is currently Head of Operations for Somalia at RisingNomads, and also volunteers with One Campaign as congressional district leader (CDL). He is also a St. Cloud State University graduate.
As a former refugee he works to inspire and improve the livelihood of internally displaced communities. During his time living in Dadaab refugee camp located in the North-Eastern Province in Kenya, Olat worked hard to create a better life for himself and others by assisting the community through his involvement in international aid and relief organizations. Today, he is seen as role model and icon of hope.
Olat hopes to use his experiences in the Dadaab refugee camp to inspire others to show how refugees can bring change in the world if opportunities are given to them. He also inspires to work with world leaders, women, and youth to spearhead change for a peaceful, democratic, and inclusive world where every individual regardless of his belief, race, political affiliation, and sexual orientation gets the maximum opportunities to reach their fullest potential.
