Legendary producer Jake Eberts died last Thursday at the age of 71. Producer and/or financer of over 50 films including Dances With Wolves, Ghandi and Driving Miss Daisy, Ebert was described by frequent collaborator Pete Daly as: "a gentle and modest man who had more reason to boast than most, but chose to let his spiritual and deep movies do the talking for him." Jake was a friend and inspiration to many of us at FilmAid and we'd like to pay tribute to him by linking to Variety's recent obituary .
